• Description:
• Tenders are invited for Rehabilitation of Woodlands Water Treatment Plant 2 Clarifier no.1 2.1 Dismantling and packing Clarifier equipment including all old electrical and mechanical equipment (i.e., bridge components, disludge valve, etc.) sum 1 2.3 crane hire Sum 1 2.4 supply and install mechanical components for the clarifier. This shall include portions of centre cage, edge v-notches, rake arm squeegees, full scrapper, and mixing paddles. All mechanical components to be stainless steel 304L or better sum 1 2.5 Replace centre bearing and supply and necessary fittings sum 1 2.6 Blast, recoat and install existing walway bridge with supporting framing. This shall include supply and install new walway fibre glass (NON-CORROSIVE) for the bridge. sum 1 2.7 supply and install drive unit and peripheral wheel with new to match the existing and compatible with the existing stystem. The drive must have an adjustable speed for rotation. sum 1 Strip and replace all wiring including replacement of slip rings with new sum 1 2.9 Supply and installation of new control panel that is compatible with the existing system no. 1 2.1 Paint the outside and inside of the clarifier with corporation colours m2 2.11 Commissioning of the Clarifier Sub-total 3 Filters 3.1 Remove the existing media and PVC pipes, cut at 200mm from the walls. No. 27 3.2 Supply and install new 100mm diameter PVC pipes, 3.5m length, each with 26 equally spaced threaded holes fitted with blowing nozzles. Nozzles to be used must be noncorrosive No. 27 3.3 Dismantle the existing valves and close holes with concrete no. 3 3.4 Replace the existing 3 valves with air actuated valves with marshaling control panel for manual operation and all necessary materials Sum 1 3.5 Supply and install new filter media for filter no.5 with coarse sand of an effective size between 0.3mm and 0.5mm m3 50 Tender documents may be purchased at any EWSC revenue center for a non-refundable fee of E1 000.00. Tenders can be downloaded from the EWSC website www.ewsc.co.sz. There shall be a compulsory site inspection at the Woodlands Water Treatment Plant on Friday 20th July 2023 at 10:00am Tenders shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and shall be hand delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked “REHABILITATION OF WOODLANDS WATER TREATMENT PLANT ” to a designated tender box at the address below: Tenders shall be valid for a period of 90 days after Tender Submission and must be accompanied by a tender security of E20 000.00 or its equivalent in a convertible currency and shall be delivered to the address specified below on or before 10th August 2023 at 12h00, which time they will be opened in the presence of the Tenderers who wish to attend.
